Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 2, 2026
Marc Larouche operates marclarouche.com (the "Site"). This policy explains what I collect, why, and what you can do about it.
What I collect
Information you send me. The Site has no contact form and collects nothing from you directly. If you choose to email me, I receive your email address and whatever you include.
Technical data. The Site's hosting provider, [HOSTING PROVIDER], automatically logs standard request data such as IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps.
Analytics. [CHOOSE ONE: "The Site does not use analytics or advertising trackers." / "The Site uses [ANALYTICS TOOL] to measure page visits. It collects [DATA] and [does / does not] set cookies."]
Cookies. [CHOOSE ONE: "The Site does not set cookies." / "The Site sets the following cookies: [LIST]."]
I do not ask for, and ask you not to send, sensitive information such as government ID numbers, health information, payment card data, or controlled unclassified information.
How I use it
- To reply to your inquiry and discuss a possible engagement.
- To prepare proposals and deliver services you request.
- To keep the Site secure and working.
I do not use your information for advertising. I do not add you to a mailing list because you emailed me.
Who receives it
I do not sell your personal information, and I do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Service providers process it on my behalf:
- [HOSTING PROVIDER], which hosts the Site.
- Proton, which provides my email account.
The Articles page displays content from Substack and links to it. If you subscribe there, Substack collects your information under its own privacy policy.
I will disclose information if the law requires it.
How long I keep it
I keep email you send me for as long as needed to respond and to maintain a record of our business dealings, and no longer than [RETENTION PERIOD, for example 24 months] after our last contact unless we have an active engagement. Hosting logs follow the provider's retention schedule.
Your choices
Email cyberlifecoach@proton.me to ask what personal information I hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. I will respond within 30 days. I will not treat you differently for making a request.
California residents. I do not sell or share personal information as California law defines those terms. The Site does not respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals because it does not track visitors across third-party sites. No third parties collect personal information about your activity across other sites through this Site. [CONFIRM AFTER ANALYTICS CHECK]
Visitors outside the United States. I operate the Site from the United States and process information there.
Children
The Site is for adults acting on behalf of organizations and community groups. I do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child sent me information, email me and I will delete it.
Security
The Site uses HTTPS, and I limit access to email inquiries to myself. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so do not send sensitive information by email.
Changes
I will post updates here and change the effective date.
